About Me

I am an artist with 35 years of experience in the communications field including design, advertising, marketing, corporate identity, publishing and Web development.

I developed a love for art very early and began drawing as a child. I could always be seen carrying a sketchbook, drawing whatever I saw around mr. In High School I studied Art and Architecture and was continuously at the very top of my class. I then went on to continue my education at the Fort Lauderdale Art Institute and the prestigious School of Visual Arts in NYC.

I was lucky enough to have success in both Advertising and Publishing.  I have worked as an Art and Creative Director, taught classes at The New School and received numerous awards as a Graphic Designer.

In 1988 I launched BY HAND DESIGN, specializing in hand lettered logos.  Clients included but were not limited to Clairol, Estee Lauder and Avon. This enterprise was expanded to include Logo Design and Corporate Branding and went online in 1993 as goLogos.com.

Since 1994 I have participated in solo, group and juried shows as a fine artist and have developed into a prolific photographer while capturing the beauty of Brooklyn where I live. I am the founder of 718BROOKLYN.NET whose mission is to capture and preserve the beauty of Brooklyn in photographs.

Other talents include Clothing Design, Consulting, and Web Design and I have also published a novel.
